The Consulate General of Haiti in Miami informs the Haitian community in South Florida that the delivery time for passports has been reduced and is now 4 to 6 weeks.

The Consulate also recalls that in order to limit the circulation of too many visitors on its premises and to ensure compliance with health instructions against the still present Covid-19 virus, the postal sending of passports remains compulsory.

However, in order to best support compatriots, the Consulate specifies that in the event of extreme urgency, a derogation from the mailing procedures may be granted for the delivery, in person, of a passport previously intended to be delivered by the postal service.
