The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico informs that the Secretariat for External Relations (SRE), through the Mexican Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AMEXCID), has launched the 2022 Edition of the call for applications for excellence scholarships from the Government of Mexico for international students, interested in undertaking studies in Mexico, at the levels of specialty, masters, doctorate and postgraduate research, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate student mobility programs.

The call for candidacies is offered to more than 180 countries within the framework of bilateral conventions, multilateral mechanisms and special agreements. More than 70 Mexican Higher Education Institutions (IES) participate in this call and all of them have university programs registered in the National System of Higher Studies of the National Council of Science and Technology. These programs testify to the progress made by the country in various fields of sciences and humanities.

Thanks to the granting of excellence scholarships by the Mexican Government for foreign students, Mexico is strengthening its role as a responsible global player and reaffirming its commitment to promoting cooperative actions to promote the formation of high-level human capital. The presence in Mexico of foreign students, scholars and scientists, women and men, contributes to the construction of permanent and long-term bridges of dialogue that enrich the foreign policy agenda with actions of exceptional value for the country and for its foreign partners. Likewise, HEIs and the Mexican university community benefit from greater internationalization.
