Haiti - Health : Centre of Traumatology OFATMA of Cap Haitien

Michel Martelly, the President of the Republic, inaugurated, Thursday Centre of Traumatology of the Insurance Agency for Occupational Accidents, Illness, and Maternity (OFATMA) in Cap-Haitien. Several dignitaries, including Minister of Social Affairs, Parliamentarians, the Archbishop of Cap-Haitien, the Mayor of the city, Michel St-Croix and the Ambassador of Taiwan in Haiti, Bang Zi Liu attended the ceremony.

"We put at the disposition of North an emergency trauma center, that meets the same standards that the OFATMA Hospital of Port-au-Prince, this center has an operating room, two consulting rooms is a mini structure with four rooms with two beds that will allow us to offer the same services, under the same conditions to the policyholders of North and also to begin to familiarize the non-insured to the structure of the OFATMA, which will effectively encourage them to ask their employer to take an insurance for them with the OFATMA..." explains the Director General of OFATMA Cap Haitien, Mr. Charles Jean Jacques.

The Head of State will accompany the OFATMA towards the establishment of a Centre of Traumatology in each department of the country. He wants to see all Haitians enjoy the same privileges that Haiti has to offer.
