Haiti - Education : Towards a vocational training agreement for 1,200 young Haitians with Viva Rio

Raymonde Rival, Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC), this week instructed the technical departments of the Ministry to work on the Memorandum of Understanding to formalize a partnership with the Brazilian NGO Viva Rio in activity in Haiti since 2004.

During the meeting between Minister Rival and Jose Antonio Gonzalez Senmache, Head of Mission of the Viva Rio organization in Haiti, the Minister undertook to support Viva Rio in the implementation of its various programs, particularly training in plumbing and the installation of solar panels for the benefit of 1,200 young people aged 16 to 20 from January 2023.

This program will enable the Ministry to provide Viva Rio with technicians from the technical departments in order to supervise young people in physical and sports activities and to ensure the Citizenship Education component that should contribute to the development of young people.
