Haiti - NOTICE Mexico : «Visitor card for humanitarian reasons»

The Embassy of Haiti in Mexico, in a note dated October 24, informs all Haitian compatriots who received the "Visitor card for humanitarian reasons" from the National Institute for Migration (INM) in November 2021, that this card will expire in November 2022.

Holders of these cards must go to the office of the Mexican Commission for Aid to Refugees (COMAR) located in the city where they reside to begin the regularization procedures. COMAR will provide them with a certificate that will allow them to continue the immigration process.

The following compatriots do not need to go to COMAR:

- If they have a child born in Mexico;

- If they are married to a person who has benefited from a temporary residence for at least two (2) years;

- If they are married to a Mexican national.

In these cases, they can apply for residency directly with Immigration.

The Embassy asks you not to neglect to carry out these steps, because if the Visitor's Card for Humanitarian Reasons expires, it will become useless and you will be in an irregular migratory situation.
