Haiti - Politic : Cap will not tolerate those who come to terrorize the population

Thursday the Town Hall of Cap-Haitien published a message to the citizens of the commune inviting them to denounce to the police the criminals, those who disturb public order, announcing that the Cap will not tolerate those who come to terrorize the population. It also calls for the protection of road workers.

"Citizens who live in the municipality of Cap. The municipal administration reminds you that security is not just a matter for the police. It is everyone's business. While the country is going through a bad time with all the political and social unrest, there are a lot of bad people who come among you and cause problems to you and your family.

Let's always be vigilant. Always report to the police all small groups of criminals that we see forming in our neighborhood. We must not tolerate people with illegal weapons among us. So that we can always live in peace in the commune, do not neglect even a second to report to the police and other authorities all the bad people we suspect in our neighborhood.

Also, in the difficult times we are experiencing, the administration asks for everyone's understanding. We continue to lobby for gasoline to continue cleaning the street. You, the citizen, must protect the workers, don't let people tell you to throw stones and bottles at the workers to prevent them from cleaning the street. You can always protest, it's your right, but allowing the work to continue to clean up the streets will be good for your health and that of everyone else in the community.

We will end by saying to continue to cooperate with the police to prevent groups of armed men from taking us hostage in our neighborhood. And sow mourning among us.

Cap likes to welcome everyone, but Cap will not tolerate those who come to terrorize the population, they are the ones who must be feared, we must not be afraid to silence them."
