Interception of a vehicle stolen as part of a kidnapping case

A gray Jeep, SCION brand and registered: AA-57382, stolen as part of a kidnapping case in Delmas 75, was intercepted on Saturday November 5, 2022 in Mirebalais. The driver of the vehicle Jhoncy Vincent, 20 years old, from Belladère, was arrested. He is currently in custody pending the necessary legal action.

2 suspected bandits mortally wounded

Two alleged bandits were fatally injured in exchanges of fire with the Police, at the Puits Blain station, this Monday, November 7, 2022. A 9mm caliber pistol was recovered by the agents during this operation.

A bounty on the heads of 3 gang leaders

Release of 2 hostages

Agronomist Anthony Dessources, member of the executive committee of the political party Fanmi Lavalas and Ronald Germain were released on Friday November 4, 2022, after several days of confinement. They had been kidnapped on Saturday October 29, 2022 by armed individuals. While "strongly" condemning this kidnapping, Fanmi Lavalas had denounced all the crimes and kidnappings committed in the country plagued by insecurity and the high cost of living.
