Monday, November 14, 2022 in the afternoon, following the resignation of Minister Liszt Quitel https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-38128-haiti-flash-ministers-of-justice-and-interior-forced-to-resign.html , Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry has officially taken over the Ministry of the Interior and Local Authorities on an interim basis.

The ceremony took place in the presence of various Government officials, the outgoing Minister, technical directors, executives and staff members of the Ministry.

In his remarks for the occasion, Ariel Henry was delighted to be able to return once again to the head of this Ministry. He also praised the dedication and hard work of outgoing Minister Quitel, who served in this position for 16 months.
