According to Senator Jean William Jeanty [Nippes / Konbit pou Bati Ayiti - KONBA] which remains strongly opposed to the Prime Minister-designate, the unanimous ratification of Dr. Garry Conille to the Lower House, "confirms the tutelage of Haiti". He said he was not surprised by this unanimous vote and without debate, after the interference of foreign diplomats in the process of ratification.

The ratification by the lower house, opens the door to the Senate. More and more observers expect a vote in favor of Dr. Conille, despite the uncertainty in the number of Senators opposed publicly, that will maintain their positions at the time of the vote.

If Dr. Conille is ratified in the Senate, he will remain to him only one obstacle to overcome, that of the statement of his general policy statement in both Houses separately as provided in article 158 of the Constitution :

Article 158 :

The Prime Minister in consultation with the President chooses the members of his Cabinet of Ministers and presents himself before the Parliament in order to obtain a vote of confidence on his general policy statement. The vote takes place to the public ballot and to the absolute majority of each of the two (2) Houses. In the case of a vote of no confidence by one of two (2) Houses, the procedure is repeated.

Let us wish that this ultimate eminently political stage, will not be used as a pretext for new political bargainings interspersed of rejections...
