The U.S. Fleet Forces Band pays tribute to J. Perry (Video)

Saturday, December 17, 2022 in the morning, on the port of Jérémie, the managers of the hospital ship USNS Comfort closed the mission "Sustainable Promise 2022" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-38396-haiti-jeremie-end-of-the-mission-for-the-usns-comfort-donation-of-medical-supplies-video.html . The crew of the Comfort take with them melodies from great Haitian musicians and memories of new friends. In tribute to Haitian musician Jonathan Perry, the U.S. Fleet Forces Band on the USNS Comfort performed a musical rendition of the song "Dekole" before departing Haiti.

Cholera vaccination dates and communes

The Ministry of Public Health is organizing a vaccination campaign against cholera from December 18 to 22 and from December 26 to 27, 2022. The (oral) vaccination targets anyone over the age of one year in Cite Soleil, Delmas, Tabarre, Carrefoutr and Port-au-Prince in the West, and in Mirebalais in the Center.

Agriculture : Haiti in new IFAD financing

Germany has allocated US$30 million to the United Nations' International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) to help poor rural communities cope with the impact of the global food, fertilizer and energy. This funding will enable IFAD to assist 9 of the most affected countries, including Yemen, Mozambique, Haiti, Ethiopia, Burundi, Madagascar, Central African Republic, Malawi, Chad and Niger.

2 day workshop on the Family Emergency Plan

The Alliance for Risk Management and Business Continuity (AGERCA) led a two-day workshop on the Family Emergency Plan with about fifty participating women's organizations in the commune of Les Cayes.
