Fort-Jacques : Sub-police station attacked, looted and burned

On the night of Wednesday, March 1st, the Fort-Jacques Sub-police station was attacked, looted and set on fire by members of the "Kraze baryè" gang after forcing the police to abandon the premises. Several vehicles (cars and motorcycles) of the PNH were set on fire. The bandits took away, among other things, firearms, bulletproof vests, helmets and various equipment. Several police vehicles and motorcycles were destroyed by fire

Group kidnapping

On the morning of March 1st, 2023, the mathematics teacher at La Saline high school, Ennery Rock Isidor, his wife, their child and two other people accompanying them were kidnapped at the Alerte lane.

More than 50 people killed in February

During the month of February, at least 55 people were killed by bullets or bladed weapons, according to a partial assessment of the Organization of Citizens for a New Haiti (OCNH). The most affected departments were the West and Artibonite.

Cap-Haitien : 206 boat people repatriated

According to the National Office of Migration (ONM), the US Coast Guard repatriated to Cap-Haitien, Thursday March 2, 2023, 206 migrants (133 men, 51 women and 22 children).
