USA : Assassination of the President Moïse, postponement of the trial

Initially scheduled for March 27, 2023, the trial in the United States of the 11 accused in the assassination of former President Jovenel Moïse has been postponed. The two parties (American justice and the defendants' lawyers) have 60 days to agree on a new date.

Foot : A trophy for Duckens Nazon

As part of the week of the Bulgarian championship, the Haitian international Duckens Nazon attacking at CSKA Sofia, received the Player of the Week trophy, for having scored 5 goals in his last four games (at least 1 goal per game ). He is the second top scorer in the league.

Fortnight of the Francophonie at the UEH:

The Rectorate of the State University of Haiti informs that the State University of Haiti (UEH) is participating from March 9 to 27, 2023 in the Quinzaine de la Francophonie 2023. On the program, conferences-debates and exhibition of 'works of art. All activities are open to the general public.

Special programming at the IFH

For this month of March, the French Institute in Haiti (IFH) offers a special program: Two "bio-told" short stories will be broadcasted on March 14, to pay tribute to Yvonne Rakim Rimpel (1906-1986), initiator of feminism in Haiti and human rights activist and Mireille Neptune Anglade (1944-2010), writer and feminist; On March 30, 2023, dancer Ericka Julie Jean Louis will present her show "Never Again", a cry of anger against violence against women. For those who will not be able to attend the show, it will be broadcasted online.
