2 police officers killed in Port-au-Prince

Two police officers were murdered earlier this week in the capital. Jean David Noël, an agent of the Counter-Ambush Unit (CAT), was shot dead not far from his home in Delmas 18 while Jean Bernard Vertus of the Intervention and Order Maintenance Corps (CIMO) was killed and burned in a van along with several other people, in Frères, by men from the "Kraze Barye" gang of Chief Vitel'homme innocent.

More than 18 people every day

Acts of extreme violence were committed by armed gangs in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince and the department of Artibonite, in particular the localities of Petite Rivière de l'Artibonite, Verrettes, Estère and Liancourt. Biden meets Trudeau on Thursday
