Haiti - Politic : How to obtain a VISA for Belize?

The Consulate of Belize in Haiti recalls that under the new immigration protocols adopted and implemented since March 31, 2023, following the announcement of Prime Minister John Briceño, Haitians have lost their privilege to enter Belize visa-free https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-39203-haiti-flash-belize-imposes-an-entry-visa-for-haitian-nationals.html

A Visa for a maximum stay of 30 days is not required in the following cases :

• If the traveler has a multiple visa or a US permanent resident card;

• If the traveler has a multiple visa for the Schengen States (European Union);

• If the traveler has a multiple visa or a Canadian permanent resident card.

IMPORTANT : The Consulate of Belize in Haiti does not intervene in the process of deciding whether to issue or refuse a visa. This decision rests solely with the Immigration authorities in Belize, where the duly completed files will be sent for evaluation. The processing time can range from 30 to 60 days depending on the case.

The Consulate of Belize in Haiti does not issue a document entitled "Travel Authorization".

On the date which will be granted for an appointment, the applicant will go to the address which will be indicated to him by the consulate with the original and a set of copies of the required documents translated into English:

Documents required :

  • 1 - Application form duly completed and signed (the signature must match that of the applicant's passport) available at: https://immigration.gov.bz/visa/visa-forms/

  • 2 - Three (3) color passport photos on a white background;

  • 3 - Passport with a validity of more than 6 months;

  • 4 - Detailed itinerary of the trip indicating the date of arrival in Belize and the date of return to Haiti;

  • 5 - Confirmed Hotel Reservation;

  • 6 - Employment certificate dated less than three months or Patent Certificate indicating:

    a) fiscal identity, address and telephone numbers of the employer.

    b) salary and position occupied by the applicant.

  • 7 - Bank certificate indicating the financial capacity of the applicant;

  • 8 - Proof of cash deposit of $200.00 (Two Hundred and 00/00 Dollars) representing visa fees, to the bank account indicated on the appointment confirmation form.

In addition, for any applicant traveling to Belize at the invitation of a citizen or resident of Belize, these additional documents must accompany their application :

  • 1 - Identity and physical address of the person inviting;

  • 2 - Relationship with the applicant;

  • 3 - Letter of invitation;

  • 4 - Employment certificate of the person inviting;

  • 5 - Bank certificate establishing the financial capacity of the person inviting.

IMPORTANT : Short-stay visa applications are received at the consulate by appointment only.

To request an appointment, the applicant must send his request by email to the address : visabelizehaiti@gmail.com

Once the appointment has been confirmed, the applicant will personally go to the Consular Section of the Consulate of Belize in Haiti on the fixed date with all the required documents, translated into English at the address indicated on the confirmation of appointment.

Any incomplete file will be deemed inadmissible and the applicant will have to start the process again.
