Haiti - Social : Back to school, new measures to improve traffic

Will Dimanche, Divisional Commissioner of the Directorate of the Traffic and the Traffic Police (DCPR), informs the road users of Pétion ville in general and drivers in particular, that new measures will come into force on the occasion of the return to school to reduce congestion and improve circulation in the perimeter of the Place Saint-Pierre thus :

- the street Grégoire in direction of bridge Borno, will be one way in the morning from 6:00 to 9:00 and in the afternoon from noon to 6:00pm.

- from 6:00am to 9:00am the left turn in direction of Laboule and Kenscoff for vehicles coming from the street Moïse, zone of the Police Station of Pétion-ville, is now forbidden. Therefore, it is recommended to the road users going to Kenscoff to use the streets Lamarre or Clerveaux to join the road Pelerin-Kenscoff.

On the other hand, Will Sunday remindsto the general public and to the drivers and owners of truck in particular, that they are strictly forbidden to drive between 6:00 am and 9:00 am in the metropolitan area of ​​Port-au-Prince and the afternoon between 4:00pm and 6:00pm on the roads of Laboule and Frères.

Convinced that it will find the understanding of all road users of the towns of Pétion ville and of Kenscoff, the Directorate of the Traffic and the Traffic Police, recommends caution to the parents and accompanists and wish to all road users, a new school year successful and safe especially for schoolchildren.
