Carrefour : Shootout

Friday, July 14 around 10:30 a.m., armed individuals traveling on motorcycles opened fire on the Carrefour police station. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Sanctions : The EU will adopt a specific instrument

The Ambassador of France in Haiti Fabrice Mauriès confirmed on July 14 that the European Union will equip itself with a specific instrument to fight against impunity in Haiti in the extension of the initiatives taken by Canada and the United States.

2 Baryè Kraze Gang scouts killed and burned

"Tonton", thus known, member of the "Kraze baryè" gang, was shot dead by the police in the locality of Fort-Jacques. The lifeless body of this individual, presented as a scout for the gang led by Vitelhomme Innocent, was subsequently burned by members of the population. "Tyoukoul", thus known, also accused of being a scout for "Kraze baryè", was lynched the day before in the same locality.

505 people shot dead

Corruption : 18 customs agents sanctioned

More than 18 customs brokers have been sanctioned for corruption by the General Administration of Customs. Some were revoked others sanctioned for 3 to 6 months. This decision follows proven cases of corruption in which these people have been "pinned". The files of all these commissioners could be transferred to the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC) in the coming days.
