Haiti - NOTICE games : The company Sojaca Presco S.A. prohibited to operate on the national territory

Luc Ouanche, General Director of the Haitian State Lottery (LEH) informs the general public, players, tenants and concessionaires of online games of chance in particular, that the company Sojaca Presco S.A. is subject to Prohibition of operation in Haiti, insofar as it operates on the margins of the law of September 4, 1958 on games of chance making the LEH the only regulatory body with exclusive jurisdiction to regulate the system of games of chance and money in Haiti.

This law obliges this company, which specializes in the sale of internet systems to companies dedicated to online gambling activities, to hold a concession contract in good and due form signed by the regulatory authority.

The General Directorate asks companies that use the Sojaca Presco S.A. internet platform to carry out their daily transactions to be disconnected within a period not exceeding 5 clear days, from August 1st, 2023.

After this period, violators of this measure will be subject to sanctions ranging from 3 to 12 months of operating ban accompanied by heavy penalties.

Note that this is a measure taken as part of the battle initiated by the Haitian State to fight against operations akin to money laundering and the financing of terrorism in the gaming sector, generally considered to be a vector with a high potential for laundering assets.
