Haiti - American Airlines : Temporary commissioning of a Boeing 737-800 Miami / Port-au-Prince

Friday, September 1st, 2023, American Airlines (AA) announced that it is making available for a limited time a 172-seat Boeing 737-800 to operate the Miami-Port-au-Prince route.

"Larger planes mean more availability for Haitian passengers who for months have had few options to leave the unstable country due to reduced flights by US airlines and high ticket prices," said Laura Masvidal Spokesperson at American Airlines.

A good option also for beneficiaries of the conditional stay program of the Biden administration ("Humanitarian parole"), and a relief in the price of tickets. A maximum of no more than $716 excluding taxes and fees has been imposed since last March, for seats in the main cabins for an indefinite time, according to Masvidal.

This American Airlines service on a Boeing 737-800 will only operate on Saturdays and Sundays until September 20, 2023.
