Haiti - Tourism : CHTA will continue to support English courses in the hotel industry in Haiti 10/11/2023 09:49:09
Karolin Troubetzcoy, President of the Education Foundation, during the ceremony celebrating the end of the four-month program for 22 students at the École Hôtelière d'Haïti, recognized that the circumstances in which the students had to learn were very difficult underlining the students' "we appreciate the determination to see this through and we will continue our collaboration. Let's remember that the "Spoken Hospitality English" course provides tourism industry workers who speak French and Creole with the tools necessary to communicate and provide services in English. "English opens doors to the world. This programme is hands on, they learn the language of hospitality management and I would love to do the same for culinary arts, housekeeping and other programs at the school," said Karine Conde Emeran, Director of the Hotel School of Haiti, Luz Kurta Cassandra François, the Minister of Tourism, a former student of the program, declared "I benefited from this programme which allowed me to improve my English. English is considered the main commercial language. It is the most used in the tourism sector. Mastering this language is essential if you want to be a professional in tourism." S/ HaitiLibre
