Seizure of 20,000 packs of contraband cigarettes from Haiti

This week, members of the Specialized Land Border Security Corps (CESFRONT) belonging to the C-2 Intelligence Department, assigned to the border operations base "Battle Sabana Larga", with the support of the Army of the Dominican Republica carried out an operation in the Lucymar Hotel, located in the Pueblo Nuevo sector of Pepillo Salcedo (municipality of Manzanillo, Monte Cristi Province) and seized 20,000 packets of Capital brand cigarettes coming from Haiti as well as a white Infiniti SUV vehicle, model QX-56 which was to be used to transport contraband goods.
