Makenzy Orcel finalist of the 5 Continents Prize

Haitian novelist Makenzy Orcel is one of the 10 finalists for the 2024 Prize of the Five Continents of La Francophonie with his novel "Une somme humaine" published by Rivages (France). "The jury for the 5 Continents Prize will designate the winner in February 2024. The Prize will be awarded in March 2024, on the sidelines of the International Day of La Francophonie. The International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) will then promote the winning work on the international literary scene for an entire year."

Carlo Marcelin remains at the service of Haitian football

Training of 115 Multipurpose Community Health Workers

In order to respond to the health emergency of displaced populations in the camps of the metropolitan region of Port-au-Prince and in support of the Western Health Directorate of the Ministry of Public Health and Population, the Pan-American Organization of Health (OPS-Haiti) supported the training of 115 Multipurpose Community Health Workers (ASCP) and 39 hygienists. This training, which took place over 8 days, aimed to strengthen the capacities of ASCPs and hygienists deployed in IDP accommodation sites to prevent and respond to suspected cases of cholera and other pathologies under surveillance.
