Haiti - Travel : Sunrise Airway and WINAIR connect Sint Maarten and the Leeward Islands

The private Haitian company Sunrise Airways and Windward Islands Airways (WINAIR) have signed an interline agreement to serve Sint Maarten which will allow travel from all cities served in Haiti to the islands served by Winair.

With this agreement and thanks to the two weekly flights operated by Sunrise between Port-au-Prince and Sint Maarten, the connectivity of the different Winair destinations and those of Sunrise Airways are increased.

From now on, connections will be possible on the same day between Port-au-Prince and Tortola, Antigua, Dominica, Saint-Kitts, Saint-Barth, Saint-Eustache and Saba. Passengers will now be able to pass through Sint Maarten to travel from these cities to Haiti and vice versa, by purchasing a ticket and checking their luggage until the final destination.

In Sint Maarten, passengers from Haiti may be in "transit" towards their connections in Port-au-Prince towards Les Cayes, the Cap or Jérémie or, in the near future, towards Miami and Panama.

Let's remember that Saint-Martin is part of the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean Sea. It includes two distinct countries, divided between its northern French part, called Saint-Martin, and its southern Dutch part, Sint Maarten.
