Haiti - Cap Haitien : Temporary closure of Bar Typsy’s

Me Durand Charles, Commissioner of the Government of Cap-Haïtien, after having closed on January 5, 2024 the Bar Typsy's located at street 22-23 C, in an NOTICE dated January 6, in order to avoid any tendentious interpretation or interested, and putting an end to unfounded rumors brings to the attention of the population of the Jurisdiction in particular and the public in general, the following details :

“[…] the measures taken with a view to the temporary closure of Bar Typsy’s follow various complaints from residents of the area for disturbance of public order; violation of morals and modesty; tendency to make the place a criminogenic zone following the sometimes heavy, repeated and recorded shootings every evening by regulars of the club without forgetting an individual who was stabbed there.é

He adds "the owner of this bar is summoned on Monday January 8, 2024 to the Public Prosecutor's Office in order to be heard for a call to order, the serenity of the residents of the area, the safety of the bar's customers and the cessation of unrest in public order of various natures" one read in this notice.
