The Departmental Directorate of Grande Anse of the Ministry of the Environment and the Directorate of Forests and Renewable Energy (DFER) in partnership with the Climate Adaptation and Valorization of Agricultural Value Chains project in Haiti are continuing production activities of more of 25,000 cocoa tree seedlings at the Grand'Anse Forestry and Fruit Germplasm Center (1) launched in December 2023.

This production will allow the Departmental Directorate to respond to the various requests from the community for the cocoa tree.

Located in the commune of Marfranc, the Grand'Anse Germplasm Center https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-22274-haiti-agriculture-third-plant-propagation-center.html is a technical infrastructure of multiplication of varieties of forest and fruit species intended to positively influence demand and offer you plant material for the production and planting of trees.
