The E-Power power plant, attacked

Thursday January 1st, 2024, Armed individuals attacked the power plant of the E-Power company in the town of Cité Soleil. At least one of the company's employees was injured. The information was confirmed by the former mayor of the town Esaïe Beauchard.

Moïse clarifies his statements

Jean Charles Moïse, the leader of the radical opposition party "Pitit Dessalin" criticized for his call to destroy everything, made it clear that his call had been misinterpreted "[...] I did not ask to destroy walls but rather an entire economic system."

Massive participation in the Perdernales market

Friday February 2nd, 2024, a massive participation of Haitians and Dominicans was observed at the Pedernales border market. The three-wheeled motorcycles left local traders, loaded with manufactured goods, rice, groceries and other agricultural products.

70 passengers on a boat held hostage

Wednesday January 31, 2024, armed individuals who were part of a gang led by "Bout ba" hijacked a boat which was traveling from Port-au-Prince to various communities in Grand’Anse. Which was transporting goods and nearly 70 passengers including children and a 14-month-old baby... who were all taken hostage.

A former Ambassador of Haiti, insults and accuses PM Henry

The former ambassador of Haiti to the Dominican Republic, Paul Arcelin who lives in this country, during an interview in the program "55 Minutos" on CDN described Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry as "a thief"” and assured that he had "participated in the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse [...]" adding "I believe that this week will be Ariel Henry’s last."
