Carnival D2 : Panic in Port-au-Prince

Yesterday Monday, February 13, the interim executive agent of Port-au-Prince Lucsone Janvier put an end to the 2nd day of the carnival parade, due to heavy gunfire heard near the National Palace, sowing a wave of panic, several injured by bullets were observed by carnival-goers who were fleeing the scene.

2 million gourdes for the Fort-Liberté carnival

The Haitian government issued a check for 2 million gourdes to the municipal administration of Fort-Liberté. This sum, according to interim agent Louis Junior Étienne, will be used to carry out carnival activities. The 3 Fat Day festivities were officially launched on Sunday February 11, 2024.

The BSA "condemns Ariel Henry and his acolytes...

In a note, the Montana Agreement Monitoring Office (BSA) "condemns Ariel Henry and his local and international acolytes who, in recent days, have accelerated the savage repression throughout the country in order to maintain their illegitimate power and illegal [..] There are no half measures : Ariel Henry and his team must free up the executive space of the State. New York : Discussion at the UN this Tuesday

Haiti will be at the center of discussions this Tuesday during the United Nations Security Council meeting to be held in New York. For his part, Dominican President Luis Abinader promises to raise the Haitian crisis during his intervention and indicated that he will remain firm in his position in the face of this crisis, reaffirming that it is the international community which must act to help Haiti.
