Haiti - FLASH : Postponed reopening of Toussaint Louverture International Airport

The reopening of the Toussaint Louverture international airport in Port-au-Prince, closed since the beginning of March due to armed gangs and increased insecurity, is postponed

American Airlines, which had announced for this Wednesday, April 17 the resumption of its daily flights between Port-au-Prince and Miami, has now declared that its flights could resume at the earliest on May 2nd

Spirit Airlines, based in Fort Lauderdale and serving both Port-au-Prince and Cap-Haïtien in the North, advises that all of its flights to Haiti are canceled until further notice.

JetBlue Airways currently plans to resume flights between Port-au-Prince and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and John F. Kennedy international airports starting May 15.
