Thursday April 25, 2024, the White House welcomed the swearing-in of the Presidential Transitional Council on Thursday, calling it major progress towards the holding of elections. "Today marks a crucial step towards free and fair elections."

He congratulates the members of the CPT for having worked together to achieve this important milestone for the Haitian people.
