Recently, the inauguration of the clinic of the Caritas Hinche - Trianon was held, a major event for this small community of the Central Plateau in Haiti.

Now, the people of Trianon and the surrounding communities will no longer have to travel sometimes for more than three days to find a place to receive treatment. They will be able to receive in this new health center the vaccinations and medical attention 24/7. Women will benefit of prenatal care and professional support during childbirth. A room of hospitalization may also receive and process the most urgent cases for a short time before being transferred if necessary to major hospitals.

During the ceremony, Bishop St Hillien cited as an example the community of Trianon and the parish priest, Father Jean Serdieuresponsible for the Caritas of the parish. He warmly congratulated them for this great success and recalled that the force of Caritas is above all the force of the community.

It took four years for this centre becomes a reality. This delay is due to the fact that its construction was financed up to 60% by the collection made ​​in this modest community of Haiti. But it's also what makes the greatness of this health center, a source of great pride for the entire population of Trianon. As mentioned by the ather Serdieu, "this center is the result of sacrifices of the community, the solidarity of the people of Trianon is an important first step towards the renewal of our region."

For the senator of the Centre, the Dr. Francisco de la Cruz, "this achievement is the proof that the Haitian people are capable of great things by itself and we must pursue our own transformation of our country."

Some efforts are still needed so that this health center is well equipped and fully functional. But a few weeks more are not a problem for the father Serdieu and the Caritas team of the parish.
