"This damage concerns internet services, international calls, Moncash and SMS. Our technicians are deployed to locate the location to try to resolve it as quickly as possible. WHO deeply concerned

"The World Health Organization (WHO) is deeply concerned about the impact of violence on hospitals and health centers in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince, where less than 50% of establishments are operating at capacity normal. And those that remain functional lack supplies. This means people are deprived of access to basic healthcare. There is an urgent need for the international community to increase its support and funding so that vital services can be provided and essential supplies delivered," said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of WHO.

The Police Union relies on the CPT

In a statement on its X account, the National Union of Haitian Police Officers (SYNAPOHA) said it hopes that the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) will give priority to security issues. It also calls for providing the Haitian National Police (PNH) with adequate means to combat armed gangs in the country.

Taxes : Payment due date postponement

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGI), in order to take into account the challenges faced by taxpayers, has decided to extend the tax payment deadline for the 2023-2024 financial year. The new due date for the Land Contribution on Built Properties (CFPB), the rental right and the business license is set for June 30, 2024. Unsanitary conditions in displaced persons camps

The "Défenseurs Plus Collective" expresses its deep dismay at the unsanitary conditions prevailing in the displaced persons camps, in particular the one located on the site of the "École Nationale Colbert Lochard". The state of the premises is alarming, with living conditions marked by promiscuity and obvious unsanitary conditions. Basic sanitation facilities are sorely lacking, the absence of adequate toilets and the use of spaces adjacent to sewage channels as kitchens by some occupants, predisposes to the emergence of diseases and favors the spread of epidemics such as cholera and tuberculosis.
