Haiti - FLASH : Spirit Airlines resumes service to Cap-Haitien

Spirit Airlines, the low-cost company based in Dania Beach (FL) which had suspended its services to and from Haiti on March 4th, 2024 for reasons of insecurity, announced in a press release that it was resuming its flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Cap-Haïtien and travelers can start booking on the company's website : https://www.spirit.com "We are resuming daily service at Cap-Haïtien (CAP) beginning May 10, 2024, following a thorough assessment and discussions with our safety, security, and airport partners."

Flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince remain suspended at this time, Spirit Airlines continues to evaluate its security options and closely monitor the situation in Haiti to adjust its schedule if necessary, Spirit said.

While until now only the Haitian company Sunrise Airways provided flights from Cap-Haitien, the announcement of Spirit Airlines now offers an alternative to Haitians and foreigners to travel to the United States.
