Haiti - Cap-Haitien : A new era of development for the region

Monday July 15, 2024, Ms. Yvrose Pierre, President of the Municipal Commission of Cap-Haitien and Steve A. Mathieu President of the Northern Chamber of Commerce (CCN) signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding to promote economic development and social of the Northern region.

This MoU aims to establish a sustainable cooperation framework for the implementation of structuring projects. In her intervention, Mayor Yvrose Pierre stressed that this memorandum of understanding represents a new era of collaboration, a synergy of public and private forces aimed at stimulating economic growth, creating employment opportunities and improving the quality of life. of our fellow citizens.

For his part, Mathieu, President of the CCN stated : "This partnership with the Town Hall of Cap-Haitien represents a unique opportunity to stimulate the private sector and attract investments in the Nord department. We are committed to working hand in hand with the municipal authorities to carry out ambitious and beneficial projects for the population of Capoise."

This Memorandum of Understanding also includes the creation of a steering committee responsible for overseeing the implementation of joint initiatives and ensuring their effectiveness. This committee will be composed of members of the two institutions as well as representatives of civil society.
