Haiti - Aviation : Monitoring of the construction site of the control tower and radar station at PAP International Airport 08/08/2024 10:29:56
This visit provided an opportunity to see the progress of the Haitian civil aviation modernization project in a summary manner. The project, led by the VINCI Construction Grands Projets (VCGP) group and supported by the ADP International Group, includes a 32-meter control tower and a 2,300 m² technical building. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-34517-haiti-security-construction-of-an-atm-complex-and-a-new-control-tower-at-the-international-airport.html Funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Haitian government, with a budget of $20 million, the project includes a secondary radar and two automatic surveillance stations, for better management and control of air traffic. Should be noted that the new air traffic control radar is already available and has been successfully tested.
