Haiti - Security : The new DG of the Ministry of Defense visits the FAd’H

In order to better understand the functioning of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H) in a context where their importance in the security system of Haiti continues to increase, Me Jean Ronel Sistanis, the new Director General of the Ministry of Defense visited the Grand Quartier Général as well as the base of the FAd'H, in Clercine, to inquire about the functioning of the offices and the working conditions of the civilian and military employees assigned there.

During this visit, Jean Ronel Sistanis met with members of the High Staff of the Armed Forces of Haiti including the Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Jodel Lesage. They discussed the problems facing the military as well as the efforts to be made to strengthen the capacities of the institution.

"We are aware of the importance and work of the Haitian Armed Forces," Sistanis told the military while congratulating them for the role they play in the fight against insecurity in the country.

After touring the building housing the Grand Quartier Général, he went to the base of the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H), in Clercine where he was received by senior FAd'H officers, including the head of the Aviation Corps, Colonel Brière Mars.

During the discussions, Me Sistanis committed to making a plea to the Minister of Defense Jean Marc Berthier Antoine, in order to follow up on the military's grievances as soon as possible.
