"While we are moving forward on the security issue, the Government is working on social projects. Thus, the Government and its partners are preparing for the start of the school year to provide relief to parents, strengthen programs to combat hunger, support people who leave their homes, support workers and women's groups, the most vulnerable girls," declared Prime Minister Garry Conille.

To do this, the Government is reallocating available resources to support those who need it most. The revised budget 2023-2024 puts more pressure on the social sector with a total investment of more than 12 billion HTG (12,133,101,935.29)

1 - Cash transfers to support families in need (workers, parents) 26,990 needy families will receive 20,000 HTG, 41,490 workers will receive a transfer of 15,000 HTG, 261,000 parents of students will receive aid of 20,000 HTG for their children total investment of more than 8.1 billion HTG (8,106,525,605)

2 - Fight against hunger through the program of 350 community restaurants (2.1 million hot meals available), 37,000 food kits, 80,000 solidarity baskets investment 1 billion HTG

3 - Strengthen the social protection system with more opportunities for social integration investment of more than 2.2 billion HTG (2,235,776,330)

4 - Supervise people who leave their homes fleeing violence in their neighborhood 790.8 Million HTG

Finally, two million students will receive free books for 2024-2025
