The Visa Application Centre for Brazil (CAVB), operated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Haiti, confirms that the resumption of appointments for the humanitarian visa (VITEM 3) is available online since Novembern 4th, 2024.

IOM informs the general public that the link to access the appointment booking for the humanitarian visa is https://cavb-ht.iom.int . "There is a lot of traffic, which makes the website slow, but it remains functional". Please continue to be patient if you cannot access the site and try again later. The technical team based in Geneva is currently working to facilitate the service.

We remind the public to follow the steps carefully. The system will ask you to confirm the chosen date and will then send you a confirmation email indicating that the appointment is finalized for the date in question.

Some advice from the IOM :

1- You will need to create an account with a valid and personal email address;

2- Personal information will be requested to make the appointment. We encourage the applicant to make an appointment directly;

3- You will receive information by email. Please make sure to follow it to finalize the appointment. Make sure you receive the appointment confirmation;

4- Scheduling an appointment is free. Only a fee of 60 US dollars (VITEM 3) for processing the file is required per beneficiary and payable once your appointment is secured to Sogebank n° 2616027989;

5- Make sure that your documents comply with the requirements for submitting the file because the processing fees are not refundable

6- Make sure to put phone numbers that work and on which you can be reached.
