Haiti - Displaced persons : At the initiative of the PM, 335,622 hot meals are being distributed

Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé launched an initiative to assist more than 23,000 displaced persons in 4 strategic sites in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince : École Nationale République de Colombie (Road of Bourdon); Local OPC (Road of Bourdon); Field ACRA (Delmas 30); Permises KID (Road of Bourdon).

This operation is being carried out by the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) over a period of 14 days with funding from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

To this end, the World Food Programme (WFP) has been selected as the service provider for the provision of catering services.

This distribution, which began on November 23, will continue until December 6, 2024 (14 days). That is a hot meal daily for 23,973 displaced people for a total of 335,622 hot meals over the period.

The General Directorate of FAES expresses its deep gratitude to the IDB for its responsiveness to this emergency situation.
