As part of the strengthening of relations between Taiwan and Haiti, the number of scholarships awarded to young Haitians has been increased this year.

This initiative is the result of discussions between Ms. Niola Lynn Sarah Devalis Octavius, Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action and Ying-Yao CHENG, Taiwanese Minister of Education, during their meeting on July 25, 2024, on the sidelines of the Paris Olympic Games https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-42852-haiti-flash-taiwan-will-double-number-of-scholarships-in-2025.html

Scholarship Programs :

ICDF (International Higher Education Scholarship Program) :

This program is taught entirely in English and offers 29 specific study programs, designed to meet the needs of international students. It is aimed at Haitian students who are proficient in English and wish to pursue their higher education in Taiwan. Duration of funded studies:

- Master's degree: 2 years

- Doctorate (Ph.D): 4 years

Application deadline: before February 28, 2025

MOFA Taiwan Scholarship Program :

The program is taught in Mandarin and includes one year of language learning. The total duration of the scholarship, depending on the level of study, is detailed as follows:

- Bachelor's degree :

4 years of university studies (5 years in total, including the year of learning Mandarin)

- Master's degree :

2 years of university studies (3 years in total, including the year of learning Mandarin)

- Doctorate (Ph.D) :

4 years of university studies (5 years in total, including the year of learning Mandarin)

Application deadline : before February 28, 2025
