The deputy of orbeck/Chantal, Guy Gérard Georges welcomes the formation of the State Commission of organization of the military component of the public force https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-4423-haiti-security-state-commission-of-organization-of-the-military-component-of-the-public-force.html "The idea is very good by the mere fact that the President has understood that there is necessity of having a commission working on the issue of the army" adding that "in the early days, no one understood what would be done when the President had announced the return of the army, everyone wondering how it would be done [...] when it is a commission that works on the issue and that will give a report, this concerns all the segments of the population either political or economic, whatever the group [...] they await the report to see what is said."

However, Guy Gérard George reminds the Commission "that this commission is not the first and I hope that this is the last, because there already had commissions under previous governments, they had to publish a report, but also, allow that there is a provision in order to allow a return of the army [...]"

According to the deputy "today whatever the group you belong it is necessary to accept that we have an obligation to have another force in addition to the police, because it's true, the police have special units but there are many things that even the special teams can not do, because a police officer is not a military, hey are not prepared in the same way [...] so we expect that this report be published and there are concrete provisions that will allow us to have a new armed force, not the same kind of army we had [...] today we expect to have a professional army that is there to help the country when there is a series of hassle, when there are major natural events, when we need to reforest, the army must be there to help, so an army which is able to actively participate in what the people began..."
