The Prime Minister, Dr. Garry Conille has proceeded this Monday, December 12, 2011, to the installation of the new Minister of Culture and Communication, Pierre Raymond Dumas who replaces Mr. Choiseul Henriquez died on November 11, following a cerebral hemorrhage

The Chief of Government, hopes of new owner of the Ministry, the identification and the implementation of "innovative strategies to materialize the Haitian dream of a culture generator of economic and social development."

Making reference to his policy statement, the Prime Minister has clearly expressed the will of his government to use culture as a powerful vector of solidarity, of sustainable economic growth and as a support of a collective commitment around a national project capable of propelling Haiti to the rank of emerging country on the horizon of 2030. He urged the new Minister to conduct an effective policy of communication and information. He warned him against any form of "propaganda flat and insignificant, which insults the majesty of communication." "Inform, he reminded him, is an essential requirement of the democracy."

Beneficiary already of the support of the other members of the government and that of the President of the Republic, the new Minister of Culture and Communication, Pierre Raymond Dumas, announced the outlines of its policy focus on accountability and the cult of the result.

He promises to provide the Ministry of an organic law ; to put in place equipments, cultural infrastructure and mechanisms of partnership with the private sector. The new minister also committed to establish a Permanent Organizing Committee of carnival and to establish a communication allowing the connection between his ministry and those of Foreign Affairs and Tourism in order to promote the "commercialization, the standardization of Haitian cultural products."
