Haiti - Security : PM announces strengthening of Haiti's Armed Forces

On Friday, May 30, 2025, as part of the Ministry of Defense's capacity building efforts, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé visited the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H) training camp in Clercine.

The Head of Government praised the efforts undertaken to professionalize and structure the Armed Forces and announced that, as part of international military cooperation, 150 of the best recruits will be sent to Mexico to undergo specialized training and receive advanced technical support.

In addition, 250 new recruits will be integrated in the coming days into the Clercine military base, which has been specially equipped for this purpose.

This initiative reflects the Government's commitment to equip the country with a modern, efficient national army capable of meeting current security challenges.

Through this qualitative increase, the objective is to ensure territorial security, support civil authorities, and actively participate in the restoration of public peace.

This initiative is part of a broader government agenda, which also includes ongoing preparations for the constitutional referendum and general elections, in partnership with the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP).
