Haiti - PNH : Towards an effective and coordinated response from the State

Yesterday, Monday, June 30, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé visited the headquarters of the Haitian National Police (DG-PNH), where he discussed with the Director General the security challenges facing the country, as well as on the measures to be strengthened to ensure an effective and coordinated response from the State.

The Head of Government, aware of the importance of a dynamic public administration to support the work of institutions, reaffirmed the government's commitment to modernizing and optimizing management mechanisms, particularly disbursement procedures. The PNH shared its perspectives on the adjustments needed to increase its operational agility, particularly in budget execution. Concrete solutions were proposed to strengthen the efficiency of processes while consolidating achievements in rigorous public resource management.

The Prime Minister has initiated a consultation process between the main institutions involved, particularly the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), with a view to ensuring coordination and efficiency. This approach aims to establish a more fluid disbursement chain while respecting the principles of transparency and good governance.

Finally, the Government reaffirms its unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens and optimizing the performance of public administration, while strictly respecting the public interest.
