Haiti - Insecurity : Daniel Supplice, victim of bandits in the Dominican Republic

Daniel Supplice, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad, accompanied by his wife and several other passengers, was the victim Thursday, of a robbery in the Dominican Republic in the city of Santiago, while traveling to Santo Domingo to attend the wedding of a family member.

Four armed individual who pretended to be police officers, have robbed the money, cell phones and jewelry of Minister and of the passengers of the vehicle.

On his Facebook account, Daniel Supplice thank all those who provided support "to my family, my friends and members of the government. I tell them all I'm fine, I am in Santo Domingo, I get home tomorrow [Saturday]"

The Minister indicated that he will seek assistance from the Foreign Minister to bring this matter to the highest authorities of the Dominican Republic.
