Haiti - FLASH : Call for projects from Haitian diaspora organizations

The Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie is launching a call for projects from organizations of the Haitian diaspora in Quebec working in collaboration with Haitian organizations to improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations in Haiti.

This call for projects covers the 2025-2026 fiscal year and contributes to the implementation of the 2023-2026 Support Plan : Committed to Haiti and the Territorial Strategy for Latin America and the Caribbean. It aims to support the most vulnerable segments of the Haitian population, particularly women and youth, and to promote good governance and the improvement of the living conditions of Haitians.

To be eligible, projects must :

• Involve at least one organization of the Haitian diaspora in Quebec and one Haitian partner;

• Be in one of the targeted sectors;

• Produce tangible benefits for the Haitian population, particularly for women and youth in municipalities outside Port-au-Prince;

• Be completed no later than December 14, 2026;

• Be the subject of a complete application upon submission.

To obtain financial support, projects must be submitted by Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada living in Quebec.

To be eligible, the applicant must :

• Be a legal entity whose head office is located in Quebec;

• Be legally constituted and registered and not be in default under the laws that govern it;

• Be a diaspora organization, meaning : 1) a majority of the founding members and/or the board of directors are part of the Haitian community established in Quebec, and 2) be an organization specializing in carrying out projects in support of communities in Haiti.
