Haiti - Cap-Haitien : Justinien University Hospital since 1890

In the heart of the historic city of Cap-Haïtien, the Justinien University Hospital (HUJ), a pillar of care and hope, stands proudly as a symbol of knowledge, dedication, and humanity.

Behind its white and turquoise facade, steeped in history, beats the heart of a medical institution that, since March 1890, has trained, treated, and supported the population of northern Haiti.

Surrounded by lush vegetation and buildings steeped in history, the hospital's layout reveals a vast network of services: from maternity to pediatrics, from the laboratory to the operating rooms, each pavilion shares a shared mission : to save lives, alleviate suffering, and advance public health.

The roofs, now covered with solar panels, reflect a commitment to the future : a desire for energy autonomy and modernity in a context where every resource counts. Students, doctors, nurses, and technicians work hand in hand, forming a large family united by the same vocation: to serve life.

From the air, Justinien University Hospital opens onto the city and the sea, like a bridge between science and community, between care and hope. More than just a healthcare facility, it is a school of life, a refuge for the sick, and a beacon for an entire population.
