Haiti - Economy : 66 new civil servants integrated into the Ministry of Economy and Finance

On Monday, November 10, 2025, 66 new civil servants were officially integrated into the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).

The Director of Administrative Affairs and Budget at the MEF welcomed the new employees to the Ministry's extended family, confident that their skills, dynamism, and commitment to excellence would be invaluable assets in strengthening the institution. He also compared working at the Ministry to the American dream, stating, "You can start from nothing and achieve everything." He emphasized that it simply requires having well-defined objectives, working diligently, and respecting the rules, drawing on his own experience from the bottom to become the administrator he has become.

Furthermore, the new employees were introduced one by one. They all spoke of their dream of joining the Ministry and pledged to contribute their knowledge and dedication to the smooth operation of the civil service. They expressed their pride in being among the 66 new employees.

Jean Bouco Jean Jacques, the Director General of the Ministry, briefly reiterated the transparency of the recruitment process, from the job posting to the official publication of the final results. Unfortunately, the security situation and budgetary constraints significantly impacted the integration timeline.

This first day concluded with remarks by Ms. Franceline Herolde, who highlighted the principles, structures, and role of civil servants, drawing a comparison between the public and private sectors. She emphasized the role of civil servants, which is to guarantee legality and continuity, serve citizens impartially, and contribute to national development.
