Haiti - Taiwan : Haiti signed the World Health Forum declaration

Dr. Bertrand Sinal, Minister of Public Health, signed the Ministerial Declaration of the 2025 World Health and Wellbeing Forum on behalf of Haiti. The forum, held in Taipei, Taiwan, focused on the theme "Taiwan's National Health Insurance at 30 : Towards Sustainable Success in the 21st Century".

This declaration represents a joint commitment from several health ministers worldwide, with the primary objective of strengthening Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and building more sustainable, innovative, and resilient health systems to address current challenges.

Dr. Sinal's participation and endorsement of this declaration underscore Haiti's commitment to global collaboration in health and to strengthening its own health system.

The Declaration's 5 Commitments :

International Solidarity :

Promote global cooperation, knowledge sharing, and support for countries in fragile situations.

Sustainable Health Financing :

Strengthen national financing mechanisms to guarantee accessible, equitable, and transparent healthcare.

Inclusive Innovation in Health :

Regulate the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence so that they benefit the entire population, especially the most vulnerable.

Climate-Resilient Health Systems :

Integrate climate adaptation, sustainable infrastructure, and early warning systems into health planning.

Monitoring and Accountability :

Develop reliable indicators and transparent reporting to track progress toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
