As part of the 31st edition of Tuesdays of the Nation, organized at the Prime Minister's Office on December 16, 2025, James Monazard, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, presented the strategic priorities, programs, reforms and structuring projects, implemented by his Ministry.

He notably mentioned the establishment of the digital Professional Identity Card (CIP) application platform, the ongoing renewal of the HOPE/HELP law, as well as the Youth Entrepreneurship Support Program (PAPEJ) and the Women's Entrepreneurship Support Project (PAEF).

Returning to the HOPE/HELP Act, he indicated that the renewal process is almost complete and that only one final step remains at the level of the American Congress. In the absence of major changes, the renewal should be effective in the coming days. He also specified that a Congressional Commission had voted unanimously in favor of this law.

Regarding the Ministry's projects, he indicated that 2 of the 14 active MCI projects have already started to benefit from funding during the first quarter of the 2025-2026 fiscal year. Monazard also mentioned the Integrated Business Development Program (PIDE) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-44293-haiti-notice-micro-industrial-park-projects-call-for-expressions-of-interest.html which aims to support local and regional projects in key sectors such as agro-industry, manufacturing and biotechnology, as well as sewing and shoemaking projects https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-45665-haiti-economy-launch-of-an-ambitious-program-to-strengthen-the-sewing-and-shoemaking-sectors.html , which are among the priorities of the ministry in terms of supporting the national economy.

Particular attention is paid to the regions of the Great North and the Great South, where the majority of beneficiaries will come from, with the aim of promoting the relocation of economic activity, in accordance with the vision held by the Minister.
