The data comes from local networks (Ayiti-séismes and UTS) as well as regional networks in Cuba, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic.

Summary of the 2025 Seismic Activity Report in Figures :

Quantity, Magnitude, and Depth of Earthquakes :

Number of Earthquakes :

553 earthquakes were recorded in 2025, representing a 12% decrease compared to the 628 earthquakes in 2024.

Monthly Frequency :

The average was 46 earthquakes per month. The most active months were May and August, with 60 earthquakes each.

Magnitudes :

Between 0.2 and 4.2. 503 earthquakes (90.9%) had a magnitude of 3 or less (very minor). 9% (50 earthquakes) were between 3.1 and 4.2 (minor to slight).
