The 2022-2027 Institutional Support Program of the Belgian Academy for Research and Education (ARES) aims to boost the research potential of the State University of Haiti (UEH) by funding research missions for UEH researchers.

These missions allow UEH researchers to spend time in a Belgian or Cuban laboratory (the preferred option), or in another country, to develop research collaborations and/or to prepare a research or teaching project to be submitted to an international call for proposals.

This funding is coordinated by the "Results Achievement Pilots (RAPs)" of Result 2 of the Institutional Support Program :

From the Haitian side : Jean Waddimir GUSTINVIL ​​(Research Department, UEH)

From the Belgian side : Barbara MARCHI and Pierre CORNUT (University of Mons – ARES)

Two more calls are planned between now and 2027. Each call will fund two 2-week missions. The number and duration of the missions are flexible and will be adapted based on the applications and profiles of the selected candidates.

March 30 : Deadline for submitting projects

April 7 : Selection of winners

From April 15 : Organization of missions

January 2026 / June 2027 : Organization of the peer training workshop
